The SW-12 Subwoofer from Wharfedale is from the SW series of subwoofers that has a performance level not normally present at this price point. The SW series feature new drive units, amplifiers and filter stages feature with all the models. This subwoofer strikes the perfect balance between power and audio quality, giving amazing sound pressure levels, yet maintaining sufficient control to be considered an audiophile level sub.

The SW-12 use Non-pressed paper cones for their increase self-dampening, improved transient impact and since they are very structural very rigid. The center vents are copper lined, which reduces the magnetic distortion and improves the heat dissipation.

A well-engineered power amplifier in the SW subwoofers is optimised for high impact at low frequencies, making it perfect for films or music listening. By addding a subwoofer to your system you will add authority to a stereo system, extending the frequency response down much further than conventional bass drivers would be able to reach. All of SW subs have the ability to adjust the phase, so you can match the sub to your other speakers. With these Wharfedale subwoofers, the built-in amplifiers have been designed to give a powerful response at the lower frequencies, while a continuously variable crossover ensures integration with the other speakers.
